Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame & Museum 9th Annual Induction Ceremony
Jul 18, 2011 The Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame & Museum Inc. will hold its ninth annual induction ceremony, presented by the McPhillips Station Casino, Manitoba Lotteries, on Monday, September 26th, 2011 at the McPhillips Station Casino.

Gary Kullman and Judi Lidstone will be inducted as Honoured Members in the Athlete category.  Derek Ingram will be inducted as an Athlete/Builder and Walter Perchaylo will join them in the Builder category.

“We are proud to support the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for a ninth consecutive year,” said Manitoba Lotteries President and CEO, Winston Hodgins.  “Honouring the inductees enriches an already enduring legacy, celebrates the sport and the many achievements of those who have shown great passion for the game”.

“The accomplishments of this year's inductees range from playing and teaching golf at the highest level to excellence in maintaining golf courses and mentoring a generation of golf course superintendents.  Manitoba has always produced outstanding contributors to the game of golf and the new Honoured Members of the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame are very deserving of this recognition”, said Don MacDonald, President of the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame and Museum Inc.

The Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame & Museum Inc. was formed to acknowledge the contributions and accomplishments made by Manitobans as competitors, both amateur and professional, builders and course superintendents to the game of golf.  It is a tripartite organization, the partners being Golf Manitoba, Manitoba Golf Superintendents' Association and the Manitoba Professional Golfers' Association.

In addition to the annual inductions, the Golf Hall of Fame takes a leading role in promoting knowledge about Manitoba's rich golfing history, including the accomplishments of members of the Golf Hall of Fame, as well as assisting golf clubs in preserving their heritage.

Individual members and member clubs wishing to nominate an individual (amateur or professional golfers, superintendents, builders, media, etc.) for the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame may obtain nomination forms through any of the three member organizations or from the following website:  www.manitobagolfhalloffame.com

Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame & Museum 8th Annual Induction Ceremony

The Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame & Museum Inc. will hold its eighth annual induction ceremony, presented by the McPhillips Station Casino, Manitoba Lotteries, on Monday, September 27th, 2010 at the McPhillips Station Casino.

Terry Hashimoto, Rob McMillan and Aileen Robertson will be inducted as Honoured Members in the Athlete category. R. J. (Bob) Picken will be inducted in the Builder category.

“These inductees have shown a deep commitment to golf and its history for our province,” said Manitoba Lotteries President and CEO, Winston Hodgins. “We are proud to once again support this prestigious event which acknowledges the legacies and contributions made by this dedicated group of Manitoba athletes and builder.”

“The accomplishments of this year’s inductees speak for themselves as they take their rightful place as honoured members of the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame.
